The Future of Education in Africa: Embedded Podcast x Tonee Ndungu, Kytabu CEO
Hanging out with entrepreneurs at the Global AI Summit on Africa
The Rundown Studio team had a fantastic time in Kigali at the Global AI Summit on Africa. We partnered with the Rwanda Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution to bring you six episodes of our Embedded podcast, which highlighted what Africa is focused on, planning and ideating for our AI future.
More on my conference reflections coming soon. Do subscribe to our newsletter as a paid sub for $8 a month puts us in a position to bring you more of this type of content. It’s really important for Africa to find ways to share what we are building and learning with each other, and highlight our own AI success stories. That attracts investment to us, and shifts our narrative from “high risk” to “high potential.”
With Hon. Paula Ingabire, Minister of ICT and Innovation, Rwanda
Our first awesome guest was Tonee Ndungu, Kytabu C.E.O. who spoke to me abbut the future of education and AI in Africa. His work with Kytabu has been focused on:
How to build education systems where AI augments teachers, rather than replaces them.
Accessibility, affordability and cultural relevance.
Scalable models for high-impact AI innovation in Africa.
I had so much fun with him, learned a lot and he gave me some great advice about our own work at The Rundown Studio. Collabos coming ! Here we are on Twitter/X and The Rundown Studio
